Sri Lankan passengers with UAE residency : Travel Process to Dubai via Male (as of August 06, 2021)

You can only travel if you have received both doses from UAE only. As of now, if you have been vaccinated from Sri Lanka, the airlines are not accepting

1. First, obtain the GDRFA or ICA Approval. (Originating Port as Male)

a. Dubai Resident Visa Holders: (Valid for 30 Days)

b. Other Emirates Visa:  https://smartservices.ica.gov.ae/echannels/web/client/guest/index.html#/registerArrivals

2. Book your tickets to Male (Sri Lankan Airlines is the available option. 75,000LKR – 80,000LKR is the average Ticket Price) and to Dubai. (4 Daily Emirates Flights and 2 Fly Dubai flights are available. Average ticket price is 1,400AED – 1,600AED) If you are transiting, make sure you have sufficient time to do the PCR and check-in. 

3. Get your PCR done. It needs to have a QR code and less than 48 hours. (8,000 LKR Average)

4. Get your Vaccination Report hard copy from Al Hosn App.

5. Within 24 hours prior to departure please fill this Maldives Immigration form and keep the QR code with you. https://imuga.immigration.gov.mv/ethd/create




5. Do another PCR at Maldives. You can do it at https://www.treetophospital.com/ Cost is around $50

[Make sure to request with QR code. The default format they have doesn't have a QR code.]

6. Get your rapid PCR done at Male Airport prior to departure. ($75) Test results within 30-45 minutes.

Your documents will be validated at the check-in counter. If your Rapid PCR is not taken less than 4 hours and your PCR is not less than 48 hours, they will not accept you on the flight.

Once you have landed in Dubai, they will check the PCR report only. And that’s it. If they ask from where you are coming, always mention from the Maldives.
